I am a Northern Virginia native, but I am currently living in Athens, Ohio, while studying Photojournalism at Ohio University. I am a cat person, who isn't opposed to dogs. I am also a bit of a sentamentalist.

Are you just the photographer? - Shooting from the Hip →
As I wandered up Michigan Avenue doing street photography, I started to dwell on the day’s events. One thought that popped in my mind was, besides, “I bet you could photograph the moon with that lens”, the thing that I hear most from the general public is “Are you just…Sad day for everyone that got fired from the Chicago Sun-Times. Another example of how photographers are some of the most under appreciated artists. Just typing that bummed me out.
Scott Strazzante says it best.
It’s sad that people think our job is easy, that all we do is push a button. Hits far too close to home for comfort for myself and many of my talented peers and predecessors.
